Connect With The Community

With the Community - Cana Lutheran Church - connectwcommunity1Loving God, Loving Others, and Serving Our Community

We seek to freely give of ourselves in service to others in ways that demonstrate God’s love. When we are able to put others before ourselves, we share by example the wonderful power of love and grace that God has given through Jesus Christ.

Cana has a long history of sharing its space with the Berkley community.

Berkley is a neighborhood overflowing with young children. “The Backyard Playroom” cultivates a safe space for children five and under to play, learn, and thrive. It is a place for parents, grandparents, and nannies,  to connect and relax. This space is our gift to the young families who reside in Berkley, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, and Royal Oak.

  ADULT PRODUCTS

I have been working with World Medical Relief for 3 years rescuing adult incontinence products like Depends that were donated but opened, from being thrown out. I have all sizes and bed pads as well that are free to anyone who needs them.

If you or someone you know needs these items, you may drop by Cana Lutheran Church, 2119 Catalpa, Berkley (next to Berkley High School) M-W  8:30-2pm and Friday 8:30-noon.

Sally, Cana's Secretary, will direct you downstairs to the fellowship hall and you can take as much as you need or can share. Cana does have an elevator. Please bring your own bags. I generally pick up from World Medical Relief every 4-6 weeks.

If you are interested in setting up your own care space for some items, I can assist with that.

If you have any questions, email me at dpcardelli@yahoo.com.
